Child and Family Therapist
Other Forms of Trauma Abuse Intervention Program

Please note that this is a 12- month term 0.5 FTE Union position

Victoria Child Abuse Prevention & Counselling Centre is posting a .5 FTE Child and Family Therapist position to provide therapy, education and related services for child and youth victims of other forms of trauma and their families. This is a 12-month term position with a possibility of additional hours and an extension of the term, dependant on additional funding.  


Qualifications
Applicants must have a MSW, MA/Med or equivalent of education as well as a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with clients where abuse is suspected or confirmed. Specific training in the area of abuse and trauma is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and expertise in working with diverse populations. 
 
Start Date:                 August 23, 2017

Details
This position is open to male and female applicants. Hours of work per week are 17.50 and hourly wage is $28.40/hr, equivalent to Step 1 of the Paraprofessional Wage Grid for B.C. Government and Service Employees’ Union (BCGEU). No health and welfare benefits will be provided as per Article 27.1 of the Collective Agreements.
